These Terms of Service apply exclusively to the PLU Finder website (plufinder.nl). They do not cover:

• PLU Finder APIs
• MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations
• Mobile applications
• Other PLU Finder services or sidecars

Each of these services is subject to its own separate Terms and Conditions, which will be provided upon access or registration.

By accessing or using the PLU Finder website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the website.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

The PLU Finder website provides a searchable database of Price Look-Up (PLU) codes used in the produce industry. The website includes:

• PLU code search and lookup functionality
• Product information and categorization
• Browse and category navigation

You agree to use the website only for lawful purposes. You may not:

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the website or servers
• Use the website for any illegal or fraudulent activity
• Redistribute or resell the data without written permission

PLU Finder verifies PLU codes on a daily basis against authoritative sources:

• IFPS — International Federation for Produce Standards
• NYS WIC — New York State WIC Authorized Product List

While we strive to maintain accurate and up-to-date information, we make no warranties regarding completeness, real-time availability, or compatibility with specific retail systems.

The website, including its design, layout, and original content, is owned by PLU Finder and protected by intellectual property laws.

Public Data: Basic PLU information (code, name, variety, category, botanical name) is sourced from publicly available IFPS and NYS WIC data.

Proprietary Data: All enriched data, including detailed descriptions, nutritional information, storage guidelines, seasonality data, and other enhanced product information, is the intellectual property of PLU Finder. We have been enriching PLU data since May 2018.

You may use the website for personal and commercial reference purposes. Bulk reproduction or redistribution of our enriched data requires written authorization.

PLU Finder allows users to submit inconsistency reports to help improve data quality. By submitting a report, you acknowledge that:

• Reports are submitted anonymously and cannot be retracted
• All submissions are reviewed and verified by our team before any changes are made
• You grant PLU Finder a perpetual, royalty-free license to use submitted information
• False or malicious reports may result in access restrictions

We also collect user feedback through other PLU Finder products, including PLU Finder MCP, mobile applications, and desktop applications. Feedback submitted through these channels is subject to their respective Terms and Conditions.

To the maximum extent permitted by Dutch law, PLU Finder shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Website interruptions or data inaccuracies
• Actions taken based on information from the website

The website is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

PLU Finder reserves the right to:

• Modify, suspend, or discontinue the website (or any part of it) at any time without notice
• Update, change, or remove content, features, or functionality
• Impose limits on certain features or restrict access to parts of the website

We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the website.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the website immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:

• Violation of these Terms of Service
• Automated scraping or unauthorized data harvesting
• Submitting false or malicious reports
• Any activity that may harm PLU Finder or its users

Upon termination, your right to use the website will cease immediately. IP addresses may be blocked at our discretion.

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.

For users within the European Union, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under applicable consumer protection laws.
